Who can use Mobile ID? 🤔

• Holders of a Resident Registration Card or Driver’s License, or new applicants
• You need a smartphone registered under your name
• You must be a subscriber to a domestic mobile network for personal identity verification
• Your Android OS must be 8.0 or higher, with biometric authentication and NFC support

If you don’t have an IC ID, no worries! You can get a QR code at community centers (for Resident Registration Cards) or driver’s license test centers (for Driver’s Licenses). 🏢

How to get your Mobile Driver’s License: 🚗

For a speedy process, head to a driver’s license test center with your physical driver’s license and a smartphone with the Mobile ID app installed. You can also apply at police department offices or through the Korea Road Traffic Authority's Integrated Driver’s License Services website for online IC driver’s license requests.

Issuance Methods: ⚙️

1. Replace your physical ID with an IC ID and issue the mobile ID directly by scanning (tagging) it with your smartphone.
2. Use on-site QR issuance at community centers or driver’s license test centers without replacing the physical ID.

Remember, these Mobile IDs are legal IDs, and an in-person identity verification is required at the issuing agency initially. If you replace your physical ID with an IC ID, future re-issuance on a new smartphone won't require another visit. 👍

A few precautions: ⚠️

When tagging IC IDs, remove your smartphone case and ensure contact for 3–4 seconds on a flat surface. For facial recognition, clean your front camera, ensure good lighting, and keep your face about 40–50 cm away, following the on-screen instructions. 🤳
